Attorney Lubna Samir Katbeh is a managing partner of Equity Legal Group and a practicing lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in Palestine and the Arab region. She specializes in banking operations, financial and banking legislation, commercial contracts, and commercial arbitration and dispute resolution at both the local and international levels.
Leadership & Appointments
She served as the first Palestinian member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris (2012-2015 and 2019-2024). She was appointed by presidential decree as a member of the Electricity Sector Regulatory Council and currently serves as a Commissioner at the Independent Commission for Human Rights.

Her expertise includes financial-sector legislation, registration and regulation of lending institutions, commercial contracting, joint ventures, share offerings, corporate guarantees, housing and mortgage finance, and representation before courts. She is a licensed legal translator and an accredited arbitrator in construction and commercial disputes, with significant experience working on donor-funded projects.

Ms. Katbeh holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration and an LL.M. in Banking and Finance Law from Queen Mary University of London, as well as an LL.B. from the University of Jordan.
